After painting in Europe for two years, Norman Badion settled in California and became inspired by the valley landscape. He used acrylic paints focusing on the way color describes structure in a particular place. The color is strong and lends mystery and drama to his views. He studied at the University of California, College of Arts and Crafts, and the San Francisco Art Institute.
